# VS Code

Installed on delta.cs.uwindsor.ca. It will work from home using NoMachine or from any labs. you can install extensions under your own user account.

- Launch **VS Code** and click on the "Open Remote Window" icon from the lower left corner.

- Click on "Connect to Host"

- Choose "Add New SSH Host"

- type your username and hostname as [username@hostname](mailto:username@hostname). (*e.g:* [*azakaria@delta.cs.uwindsor.ca*](mailto:azakaria@delta.cs.uwindsor.ca))

- Select which file you want to use to save the new added hostname (hit enter)

- Click on "Connect"

- Choose "Linux"

- Type in your password

- Click on "Open Folder"

- Click on "OK"

- It may ask you again to select the platform type (Linux) and type in the password
