Quickconnect
Use these settings:
- Set Host to an FQDN, for example
nx.cs.uwindsor.ca
- Set Username to your UWinID (all in lowercase characters)
- Set Password to your campus password
- Set Port to 22 (this is required if the host URL does not include the protocol prefix!)
Press the Quickconnect button to open a new SFTP file transfer session.

Use these settings:
- Set Host to a URL with an sftp:// prefix to the FQDN, example sftp://
nx.cs.uwindsor.ca
- Set Username to your UWinID (all in lowercase characters)
- Set Password to your campus password
- DO NOT set the Port value
Press the Quickconnect button to open a new SFTP file transfer session.

If you have used Quickconnect to connect to this or other servers, you can select a saved session from the pull-down list to the right of the Quickconnect button.
Configuring a connection using the Site Manager

Open the Site Manager from the File menu.
Use these settings in the General tab:
- Set Protocol to SFTP - SSH File Transfer Protocol
- Set Host to an FQDN, for example myweb.cs.uwindsor.ca
- Set Username to your UWinID (all in lowercase characters)
- Set Password to your campus password
Use this setting in the Transfer Settings tab:
- Check Limit number of simultaneous connections
- You can set the Maximum number of connections to between 1 and 5. If this number is too high, the server may blacklist your IP for attempting to open too many sessions simultaneously.
