Mobaxterm

MobaXterm is your ultimate toolbox for remote computing. In a single Windows application. It is an enhanced terminal for Windows with an X11 server, tabbed SSH client, and network tools. The free home edition is available at Mobaxterm.

Installing Mobaxterm

The Installer is provided as a ZIP file; save it and open it. Extract all the files (*.dat and *.msi) into a directory. Go to the extraction sub-directory and run the MSI installer. Accept all the default settings.

X11 Forwarding

The requisite X server is embedded!

Mobaxterm has an embedded X server with X11 forwarding enabled by default, so nothing else is required to run GUI applications.

SSH using Mac OSX

Launch Terminal from the Application/Utilities.

You will see the following window. Enter ssh <youruserid>@delta.cs.uwindsor.ca

In the example below, Sanjay is my user ID.
